Season 2 was what fans were waiting for a very long time also unsure that if season 2 recaptures the magic of season one, event if we look in terms of narrative structure then the story should have been finished in season one but afterall it was a decision made for continuing the story to explore more. Season 2 has all elements like suspense, thriller, comedy, violence, twists and over the top highly communicating emotions that what makes it surprisingly perfect. Not as fast paced as season one but still it holds the charisma of season one.
Human nature filled with greed, selfishness can go beyond the imagination. In a scene where The Recruiter goes in a park of beggars with two bags of bread and some lottery tickets and offer them to choose one thing between the bread and lottery ticket, soon he finds everyone choosing money over satisfaction as if he knew it already, the uglier side of human beings.
Season 2 is with a lot of bangs and you can't blink your eyes even for a second because the way makers present it on TV screen, it's a very fascinating experience which we barely see these days in Telivision shows except HBO shows. Season 2 that raises the stakes tenfold compared to the events of the previous season. In spite of featuring several violent acts in the series, show stays with compassion, emotions and human bond with sense of helping each other.
Season 2 spends more time exploring these bonds which are put to test under extremely stressful circumstances. The director did a wonderful job shifting gears to let the emotions of it's characters prevail over the violent outcome of the games.
Also the last episode ends, assuming the fans about the consequences Seong and remained participants are going to face and also it's clear in post credit scene that the game is still on, it'd be interesting to see how far it goes and how dirty and ugly it is going to be.
Also Season 2 ends with a cliffhanger predicting Will the The police officer be able to track Seyong , or Seong will be capable of getting revenge by sinking the whole organization and killing the front man, Fans have to wait for another one year as final episode expects the the third and final season releasing in 2025.
