His musical talent is on full display in 'La La Land,' as well as, most recently, in 'Barbie,' which many reviewers consider one of his best performances. Given his outstanding performances in a variety of genres, our readers are likely eager to learn about his next endeavors. Lucky for you, we've compiled a list of Ryan Gosling's future movies and television shows!
1. Untitled: The Gray Man Sequel (TBA)
Following the debut of 'The Gray Man' and its immediate success, Netflix announced a sequel, with Ryan Gosling reprising his lead role and the Russo Brothers directing once more. The untitled sequel to 'The Gray Man', inspired on Mark Greaney's novel 'On Target', on which Stephen McFeely has been hired to write the script, will be a touch more edgy and experimental than the previous picture, according to the Russo Brothers. More information regarding the project that is being treated is awaited.
2. Misadventure (TBA)
Glenn Ficarra and John Requa return to direct another rom-com for Sony, following up on their success with 'Crazy Stupid Love.' What's surprising and nostalgic is that all four performers from that film will appear in this one, including Gosling, Emma Stone, Steve Carell, and Julianne Moore. Mark Hammer is penning the script, and the plot has yet to be revealed. We can't wait to see them again on film, especially Gosling and Stone after their incredible chemistry in 'La La Land.' More information about this highly anticipated film, which is now in pre-production, is anxiously expected.
3. Project Hail Mary (2026)
Adapted by Drew Goddard from Andy Weir's eponymous novel, Amazon MGM Studios' 'Project Hail Mary' is a science fiction drama film that follows Ryland Grace, an astronaut who seeks to preserve Earth while seemingly alone on a space station. Is there a catch? He has just woken up from amnesia and is 12 lightyears from Earth. His job is to reverse a solar-dimming event that threatens humanity's survival. Ryan Gosling will play the lead role of Ryland in this Phil Lord and Christopher Miller film, which he will also produce. The film also features Sandra Hüller and Milana Vayntrub. 'Project Hail Mary' is in post-production (filmed for Imax) and will be released on May 20, 2026.
4. Untitled Margot Robbie Ocean’s Eleven Film (TBA)
Following the great success of 'Barbie,' the dynamic and complementary duo of Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling are set to star together once more for Warner Bros, this time in a prequel to 'Ocean's Eleven.' Francine Maisler, Jay Roach, and Molly Rose will direct the next period heist film, set in Monte Carlo in 1962. Roach spoke to Collider in August 2023 and had a lot to say about Margot and Gosling reconnecting for another picture. He went on: "Originally, there were some questions about whether it would be weird to have (Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling) together again after Barbie."
